Kali is a registered psychologist and the founder of Mindful Psychology. She is passionate about helping people heal from past and present difficulties, and live a life that feels rich, meaningful and happy.
As a psychologist and certified mindfulness practitioner, Kali works closely with her clients to build a supportive therapeutic relationship, and uses a holistic approach that is guided by evidence-based psychology techniques and awareness of the mind-body connection. She believes that replaying old patterns in an unconscious way can be very destructive to your present life, whereas resolving past issues allows us to feel more calm and confident.
She also has a strong interest in cultivating and teaching mindfulness, which she sees as a profound way to enhance psychological resilience and feelings of happiness and contentment for a broad range of people – including herself!
Kali has undertaken extensive training in treating clients with complex trauma histories, and has significant expertise and interest in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other addictions, and relationship and interpersonal difficulties. She is trained in administering Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) – an internationally recognised gold standard treatment for PTSD and other trauma-related conditions. She also utilises Ego State Therapy which can further help to promote the integration and resolution of trauma.
For over 20 years Kali has enjoyed working with a wide variety of clients from the broader community, as well as the multicultural and LGBTIQ communities. Whatever your age, gender, sexual orientation or background, you can be assured you will be treated with respect, kindness and professionalism at all times.
