What is sexual health and sexual health counselling?
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), sexual health is “a state of physical mental, and social wellbeing in relation to sexuality”. The WHO says that sexual health is optimal when people are engaging in pleasurable and safe sexual experiences.
Unfortunately, many presentations and complications related to sexual health continue to be stigmatised today. Here at Mindful Psychology, we can assure you that you will experience a safe space to discuss your sexual needs and concerns. Sexual health concerns are so broad, so it is more than likely that many of us will come across them in our lifetime.
Some examples of sexual health concerns might be:

- Change to, or loss of, sexual libido

However, raising your concerns with an experienced and trusted professional in a safe environment quickly helps to eradicate fears of being judged or misunderstood. Most people feel relieved at simply being able to express their concerns to someone supportive and understanding.
